Lavelle Prep and New Ventures Charter Schools to host annual “Night of Champions” Gala
STATEN ISLAND, NY – Lavelle Prep and New Ventures will host its 7th Annual “Night of Champions” Gala on Wednesday, June 15th 2016 at the Hilton Garden Inn. Honorees will be presented with an award that recognizes them as “Champions of Education” for helping the students overcome barriers, and putting them on a path to fulfill their dreams.
This year’s honorees include: Executive Director & CEO of Historic Richmond Town Ed Wiseman, Vice Provost of St. John’s University Staten Island Campus Dr. James O’Keefe, New York State Senator Diane Savino and St. Paul’s School of Nursing. Staff honorees Lee Poerio, Amelia DePompo and Julianne Yarczower were selected by their peers as the Outstanding Teachers and Teacher Assistant of the Year.
