The Lois & Richard Nicotra Early College Charter School’s namesakes have released a passionate testimonial which provides exciting information, as well as heartfelt sentiments about the fast-approaching opening of the school.
Of the school, Richard Nicotra says, “This is not just gong to be a school with our name on it. We want to make sure that the children that come to this school succeed, and we want to be a part of that.”
Opening this July, the Lois & Richard Nicotra Early College Charter School will provide students with the opportunity to earn 60 college credits from St. John’s University, in addition to a traditional Regents Diploma. “There is not another location in Staten Island that can offer this kind of environment for a school,” Mr. Nicotra says, noting also that there are no other early college schools on the island .
